Parker overnight in this fuel stations lot. So in the morning when we were getting ready to take off my husband stops in to find out what the food was all about. The place was packed with people so that's always a good sign. He ordered a plain Naan a garlic Naan ($4 a piece) 2 samosas and a Vindaloo chicken dish. Oh my this food was seriously some of the best Indian food we have had. As truckers we stop all over the U.S to try local foods and favorite dishes. And truly this place rivals some of the biggest best Indian food we have had anywhere in the United States. We got all our food by 10am so everything was very very fresh. I believe we will be stopping back thru on our way home!!!!

Excellent quality indian food at a truck stop! Goat curry - mild is recommended (be warned: there are bones in it) but everything looks very good. The Nan is freshly made. Takes 5-15 minutes for them to prepare, but totally worth it. This place is a gem!

We ordered 3 vegetarian dishes and samosas to-go. Food is very tasty and flavorful, but a bit heavy on the oil. Plates and utensils were provided for the carry out order. It was prepared in about 10-15 minutes when we ordered in-person, based on our provided preferences for heat/spice level. We will plan to come here again on our next road trip.

I ordered the Chicken Curry, and asked if it was spicy, the clerk said not very, so I asked for it to be spicy. He said to give him 10 minutes. The chicken was tender and flaked with a fork, the long-grain rice was well cooked. The flavor was great, it was not so spicy that 'hot' was the only flavor. The dish was well made and full of flavors and I highly recommend this place if you want some great Indian food. The portion size was more than enough to feel a hungry truck driver and leave satisfied. 6/12/25 I stopped by The Taste of India again today, and had the Curry Chicken. Same great taste as last time. This place is a rare gem on the highways of Nebraska. Exit 248 in Overton, NE. As a long haul truck driver, it's places like this that are the great finds, meaning, (as some may know) while traveling full time it's difficult to find healthy food to eat that isn't over priced or a fast food restaurant. This is a small restaurant just off I-80 that's set up in a small truck stop. The place smells like curry almost as soon as you walk in, and the service is excellent. Can't wait to come back here again. I like the food so much, I'm ordering some to take back to my gf in Wisconsin! So she can enjoy it too.

Taste of India – Overton, Exit 248 off I-80 Holy crap, this place is legit. I rolled in for a quick lunch and walked out with a full belly and ordered dinner to go - highly recommended by patrons. Got the goat curry and it was straight fire, meat so tender it falls off the bone, sauce packed with flavor but not just heat for the sake of heat. You can actually taste all the different spices doing their thing. Best Indian food I’ve had in forever, and I’ve eaten a lot of it. Super nice staff too. If you’re anywhere near Exit 248 on I-80 in Nebraska and you don’t stop here, you’re honestly missing out.

The food here is absolutely delicious!! We had chicken korma, goat curry, garlic naan, and a mango lassi. The mango lassi was yummy and helped with the spice level - "mild" here is still quite spicy. I could definitely feel the burn, but also taste the other flavors (which were amazing!!). Service was polite and fast, atmosphere is what you'd expect inside of a gas station or truck stop - we didn't come here to be fancy, we came for delicious Indian food and that's exactly what we got!

What can I say... Its delicious Indian food in a truck stop. It's right there with every Indian restaurant I've been to, all over the country. Huge portions, I'm a big boy and could only finish half the food I ordered. A standard portion for about 15 bucks is a pint each of curry and rice. I'll be back for sure.

The food was delicious!!! I had the chicken curry with rice and garlic naan. It was a little spicy, but I dont usually eat spicy. Luckily, that mango shake cooled me down(can't remember the name of it ). But all in all, the food was will definitely stop again. First time tasting India food
